Funny, I was just asking Craig if I should post this thread to beat you to the punch.

Oh well, this Wrestlemania just got a hell of a lot more exciting.

This time of the year is always the best time in wrestling. I bet John Cena's injury was made to look worse then it was to fool us.

Wrestlemania should get a great build seeing as there's a six-week gap between it and No Way Out.

Good point DC although I think they should drop No Way Out and give it a solid nine-week slow build

Minor Raw spoiler:

Oh and Cena is no longer challenging for the belt he is challenging for it at NWO instead
... come on TPIB get up to date :p

Minor quibble with that postcard, but Orlando doesn't have a beach :?

I agree with NE though, they should scrap No Way Out and have a huge build up between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. No Way Out always seems like an inconvenient distraction (although this years is somewhat of an exception).

I don't seem to remember Wrestlemania cards being so obviously predictable so early as this year (neither a good or bad thing). I can count off hand 8 matches that are pretty much guaranteed to happen and (bar the champs going into the show) the participants of 7:

1) WWE Championship- most likely to be a triple threat Orton vs. Cena vs Triple H

2) World Heavyweight Championship- Edge vs Undertaker in a sensible world is practically guaranteed.

3) ECW Championship- at the moment the only line-up would be current champion Chavo vs the only over face on ECW, Punk. Unless someone new debuts, someone gets over, or the title changes hands.

4) Flair vs what is looking set to be Michaels, although I'm still hoping for a heel (Kennedy being the only real option) instead.

5) Money in the Bank IV- the one I can't guess the participants. Jeff Hardy's almost a dead cert. I'd also say Shelton, Hass and Brian Kendrick (if London hasn't returned) stand a good chance of being participants.

6) US Championship- only an idiot wouldn't book Matt Hardy vs MVP at Mania.

7) Women's Championship/Diva's match- following recent traditions, the Playboy Diva (Maria this year) will get a monster push for Mania, either losing to Phoenix if she still has the belt (which sensible money says she will) or winning some form of Gimmick match a la the Wrestlemania XX tag match.

8) I also see the Horswoggle storyline concluding with the following people- Foley, Hornswoggle, Finlay, Vince McMahon, The Great Khali and Rhajin Singh, maybe in a gimmicked 6 man tag match.

Add to that maybe one or two tag title matches and maybe another match and you have a full, Wrestlemania length show.

The poster looks a bit naff but doesn't matter. As for the card being predictable I have to say I think it has to be one of the most predictable Mania cards but it won't effect the strength of the card, it still looks to be really good.

HHH has not won at WM in years. He needs, nay deserves a win here.

Triple H last won a 'Mania match at WMXIX. Since then he's tapped to Benoit, been pinned by Batista and tapped to Cena.

His 'Mania record isn't that great TBH.

WMXII - Squashed by Warrior
WMXIII - Defeated Goldust
WMXIV - Defeated Owen Hart
WMXV - Lost to Kane
WMXVI - Won a 4-way
WMXVII - Lost to Undertaker
WMXVIII - Defeated Jericho
WMXIX - Defeated Booker T
WMXX - Lost to Benoit
WMXXI - Lost to Batista
WMXXII - Lost to Cena

5 wins and 6 losses give him a negative record overall.

"Snow (Hey Oh)" by Red Hot Chili Peppers is the official theme song for WrestleMania 24

I'd imagine though that they will have another more lively tune to play for the end of show re-cap
