Seems to be mentioned a bit, and he's certainly made an impact in his initial two Smackdown matches. I think if used correctly and built properly - he could be a very big deal.

Intense, devastating and has the "chiseled out of granite" look that says "money"

That clothesline was epic (well sold by the jobber too) I especially loved the "FEED ME MORE" line, which sounds hopefully like Ryback is due for a Goldberg style build.

    Thoughts?

I love how Ryback is awesome but Skip Sheffield was awful. :)

I agree skip sheffield was a horrible name, sounds like some british blueblood that would work under regal. Ryback however i missed his 1st match i saw the 2nd and i liked it alot. Loved the intensity and the feed me more line should continue to get used. It was spot on

Ryback seem's like a Paul Heyman influenced character. Accentuate the positives and hide the negatives. You wouldn't believe Ryback was Skip Sheffield, the difference is amazing.

Done slowly and correct Ryback is a star in the making

The most promising "big man" WWE have had for a while. He's pretty good on the mic too.

I missed him as "Skip Sheffield" so Ryback is starting with a clean slate from my perspective.

He's had a better start than Tensai so I'm backing him

I could listen to Tony Atlas laugh for DAYS.

I like Ryback, but I don't like the random arm pumping thing he's got going on. I also don't like the Terminator onesie he's wearing.

I do like him destroying f*ckers in les than 2 minutes. That's how you squash a b*tch.

I like the random arm pumping. He has to do something with that pent up energy since the WWE won't let him eat his opponents faces.

He needs some better, more distinctive Goldberg-esque music and a different look. Get rid of the tacky singlet and give him some plain black gear and that'd be a big improvement.

He has lots of potential. Unlike most of these dominant wrestlers they try to push, like Tensai, Clay and Ryan, he seems genuinely strong. Let him destroy people for a few more months and he will be over by then.

Got to hand it to Vince McMahon. There were stories before that he saw Skip Sheffield as a main event powerhouse and many on here squaffed at it. Now hes debuted we can see what he visualised.

The singlet reminds me of Wrath. He went on a WCW streak too didnt he, which if memory serves me correct the crowd were really getting behind. Only for Kevin Nash to break it, as some sort of in joke about breaking Goldberg´s.

Anyone noticed how they cut RyBack jumping onto the apron during his entrance this week? Reckon that's got something to do with them not wanting him using Lesnar-isms?

I agree with Jack. If anyone could actually get away with the "black trunks & black boots" deal right now, it'd be this guy. The trick is to essentially make him Goldberg-esque, without making him a shoddy tribute act.

The singlet has always seemed so amateurish to me, I think black trunks and boots would work perfectly for Ryback.

There's a neat trapeze act going on here with "They cant make him too much like Goldberg - I hate that singlet, give him black trunks and boots!"

Well I did say it's something tricky to get the balance right. I'm not meaning black boots and black trunks literally, I mean instead of trying to give him a gimmick and one of (what appears to be) RVD's old unitards, he'd be the kind of guy who be perfectly fine in bland plain ring gear with no discernible gimmick as such, just mowing through bitches left right and centre. We don't need to know much about RyBack right now, other than "holy sh*t, look how he just destroyed that guy", so they can let the character and the personality and so on develop later.

I do like the "feed me more" line though, and him announcing when it's time to to finish his opponent. Overall I'm waay more impressed than I ever expected to be. To go to this from being Skip Sheffield is a helluva leap, and I'm hoping it all works out.

It's strange to think why WWE didn't package Tensai is the same vein as Ryback. Tensai has all the attributes going for him to be a wrecking ball yet just because of his time in the orient that made him look a fool, yet with Ryback he just straight up mean
