Yes, yes, yes, it's finally here again, quite possibly the greatest rugby tournament starts again. First up Scotland vs. Ireland and Le Crunch England vs. France. Can Ireland keep up their momentum after a fantastic Autumn internationals and bring there form into the Six Nations. Will Scotland provide a massive shock. Can England stay unbeaten or will France become the France of old free running with dazzling displays of brilliance. Today is going to be an exciting thrilling day.

As for Wales well on a personal note I am going to have to record only my second Welsh match as the Girl Guides in their wisdom have put on a ceremony that I can't miss at exactly the same time.

Will Wales produce the performance the nation craves or will it be a drudgery match with Wales just coming ou on top or will Italy under Conner O. Shea win and make a run for the tournament. All will be revealed as as you can tell I can't wait. Bring it on. Rugby, rugby, yea yea!!

I think after the autumn, with the way they proved they can adapt and move on from injuries and retirements to big players, it could well be Ireland who wins the crown this time out, given that the match against England is in Dublin as well, I think it gives them the edge.

I don't think anyone will win a slam this time round but given the importance of bonus points for the first time and Ireland's ability to score more tries then England at the moment then I think Ireland win in Dublin and sneak the title.

Scotland are playing brilliantly at the moment. It is a great start to the tournament. It will be interesting to see if Ireland turn it around. I am looking forward to seeing how England get on later.

It was a game which Ireland should have won, they had the ball, the territory and everything you should need to win a match. Except the finishing touches.

England where not much better, in fact we sucked for 65 minutes, just about kept in the game and then won right at the end due to the depth of our bench.

One thing is for sure, there is going to be some tense and tight damn good games of rugby in this years tournament if yesterday was anything to go by. Also ITV's coverage sucks.

ITV coverage did my head in whoever was commentating yesterday just would not shut up. The crap he was coming out with was doing my head in. The difference between BBC and ITV is night and day and do noticeable. ITV have just won the coverage of the ne t two world cups how the hell did they manage that.

France did not play well but England were even worse so made France look good. I think everyone needs to raise their games come on Wales.

What a second-half comeback by my adopted homeland today; trailing 7-6 at the break (after being 7-0 down), then turning that around to a 7-33 victory.

Considering the loss of Dan Biggar to a rib injury and North playing on with issues with his thigh it certainly was a good performance.

Massive game coming up as well now, with England who have played like a slow building turd so far in attack but have pretty stout in defense having to take on a Welsh side who will be brimming with confidence.

    Tough one to call.

Really tense game so far Wales are doing well but it's anyone's game. Having several heart attacks whilst watching this is so close.

Tough old game, the impact at the gain line was intense on both sides, the Welsh defense on several occasions just driving back the English players, great kick chasing and just balls to the wall hard in your face rugby.

The Welsh deserved to win really but again the depth on the English bench, the power and ability to change the point of attack we have from certain players coming into the game like Haskell, Te'o and May was what won out in the end and created pressure that lead to a poor kick from Jonathon Davis, who is usually a fine player with the ball on his boot which ultimately lead to the final blow, a magnificent try from Daly and a wonderful kick to follow from Farrell.

Seriously, what does Farrell have to do in a Saracens and England shirt more then he currently is to be a Lions starter either at 10 or 12 in the summer?

    Couple of things though...

This bonus point system is BS, England have won two hard matches against fine opponents in Wales and France and have 8 points. Ireland lost the game with a poor attacking performance against Scotland and then battered a poor Italy and somehow are on 6 points behind us. It has no place in a tournament like this where you could win 4 matches and still mathematically possibly lose against a side that only wins 3.

Also Welsh fans, Leigh Halfpenny what do you think? I like him, he was the man of the series arguably against the Aussies for the Lions in 2013, he is a reliable point scorer from the tee and pretty steady in the other areas of the game but has his time come? Liam Williams played on the wing as North was injured but if North is fit for the Scottish game I would go with Williams at 15 because he just gives you more zip and threat in the backs where as Halfpenny is now, after the length of his career and the serious injuries now more of a steady pick. I would argue it is sentiment over his role in past Grand Slams, not his current form and fitness, that is leading to his inclusion in the side.

I am looking forward to seeing the Ireland vs France match later. It will be interesting to which one of these are going to compete with England for the Six Nations.

Scotland played well, Wales were useless I mean Scotland frustrated them but I have not seen so many knock ins in a long time. We also gave away too many penalties. I want to See Scotland beat England now.

What a ridiculous ending to a unforgettable game of rugby. For 79 minutes it was unforgettable because nothing really remarkable happened and then 21 minutes of one scrum.

Unbelievable I have been watching rugby for over thirty years and have never witnessed an ending to the game like that. France cheating replacing a prop that kept pulling down the scrum. A yellow card who had time to play ten minutes after serving his time out.

The ref ref lost control no idea what was going through his head making injured players come on the pitch a bite a fourth official with issues. Unbelievable defence and then Wales lose. Let's hope the next match lives up yo the excitement of this one. It definitely can't be more farcical.

The less said about England being very English and losing when glory beckons the better.

Magnificent game plan and control from Ireland today though. The played the occasion and conditions brilliantly where as the boys in white found themselves chocked up by history.

We might have won the title but after all the hope and hype of beating the record and winning back to back slams it just feels like a hollow trophy.
