According to WrestleScoop.com, there is a DVD synopsis for WWE No Way Out (which WWE has scheduled for June 17 in New Jersey) that suggests that No Way Out will feature gimmicked Steel Cage Matches. Here is the synopsis:

It sounds similar to TNA's Lockdown pay-per-view and, that alone, is scary to think about, but it may be tolerable if they do not have every single match in a cage. In any case, what do you all think of WWE having yet another gimmick pay-per-view (in addition to Elimination Chamber, Extreme Rules, Money-in-the-Bank, Hell in a Cell, and WWE TLC)? Could a Steel Cage gimmick pay-per-view work in the WWE?

Lumberjack Cage Match? How does that work exactly?

Anyway, I vote no, because a Handcuff Match sounds like a terrible idea.....

Handcuffs need to be taken out of wrestling and put back where they belong. The bedroom.

A lumberjack cage match belongs on the Reverse Battle Royal pile of bad ideas.

Assuming it doesnt actually get as goofy as the blurb sounds I dont mind NWO as the cage match PPV in theory. The cat is out of the bag on gimmick PPVs and cage matches are fun. I'd rather it be along the lines of the others and have main event cage matches, rather than be Lockdown, but whatever. We'll see.

This is what they should call the Elimination Chamber PPV. Little trivia here, they market the Elimination Chamber PPV as No Way Out over here because Elimination chamber translated means Vernichtungslager, which goes way back to the National Socialism times.

I think that you guys have mis-interpreted the synopsis.

You wouldn't be able to have a steel cage, cage match. So I'm taking it as all matches will have some form of restraint gimmick.

This is just another attempt from WWE to chase rating's. What they don't realize is that having a Cage influenced PPV will dilute the attraction of the cage match when it does happen. Same with HIAC, if the HIAC at WM didn't contain HHH/Taker then the appeal would not have been there

Will any of you pay attention? As Scotty has pointed out, it isn't "WWE Lockdown". It's a gimmick PPV with various forms of restraint in them. Chrissakes. No Lumberjack Cage matches either.

In other news, Wrestling Can't Get Any Gayer. Film at 11.

In that case its really just another Extreme Rules, a PPV with all different stip matches.

If the gimmick isn't the same for every match, then I'm cool with it. It's only really Hell in a Cell and EC that I take real offence too.

Yo Dawg, I heard you like cages so I put a cage in your cage.
