Have your favourite programs made the chopping block so far? Did you come across any major surprises? I wasn't surprised by the list, but a few of my must-see programs are drawing to their natural conclusions.

I'm always surprised by the number of reality shows that get renewed, but I suppose they're cheap to make which is a boon to their network. I'm still waiting to see what happens with Brooklyn Nine-Nine and am hoping for another season.

One of my favorite shows used to be NCIS. It's still on for another season but all of the original cast is gone except Abby and Gibbs. They're even planning to let Abby go this year. I just can't watch it anymore without those characters I came to know and love.

I'm a big fan of reality TV, but I'm on the surprised bandwagon with you. Often they'll show teasers for the next episode that will seem dramatic and interesting, but after the break, it's obvious that the producers mislead the viewership. Plus, with social media the way it is today, the stories have already been spoiled. Enough people still tune in though to keep them going.

I really hope they don't cancel Brooklyn Nine-Nine. That show is hilarious. Sadly, I'm not too optimistic about it. One of my favorite shows, Riverdale, was renewed. I never really had too much doubt about that one.

Hopefully, Fresh Off The Boat will get a 5th season, this fall. Other than watching reboots of old shows like Roseanne and Hawaii Five-0, I don't care to watch most TV shows these days.

Speaking of Reality TV, I used to love watching The Real World, Road Rules, and The Bad Girls Club years ago. Those were the only reality shows I loved watching. Other Reality TV Shows are simply overkill.

I would much rather watch shows with REAL ACTORS than watch vapid, self-entitled, attention whores trying to get their 15 minutes of fame.

To be fair, I think a lot of "real actors" probably started off that way, although 'vapid' may not fit a lot of them. I don't know if it's fair to call all of those kinds of reality stars vapid either. Some of them have managed to turn their fifteen minutes of fame into a lot longer than that and have made quite a bit of money too. I totally get why you wouldn't want to watch those shows though. They can be really difficult to watch.

A couple of my favorite shows have managed to avoid the chopping block, which is a good thing. The problem I have is finding enough time to look at all of the shows that I want to watch. So many shows, so little time to watch them. Thank goodness for the Internet.

When it comes to certain Reality TV Stars, you do have a point. David Giuntoli for example was originally from MTV's Road Rules back in 2003. By 2010 or 2011, he became the protagonist of NBC's Grimm.

Meanwhile, a nice portion of the people you see on these Reality TV Shows are on them because they want to become instant celebrities, when other entertainers used commercials, modeling, soap operas, etc. as stepping stones.

There are some soap stars for example, who actually resent the fact, that there are more young aspiring actors who think soap operas are beneath them. Yes, soap operas can be really cheesy, unrealistic, and contrived. However, a nice portion of today's Hollywood stars originally came from soap operas.

Brad Pitt, Ryan Philleppe, and Demi Moore are only 3 examples.

Anyway, as much as the networks love shoving Reality TV in our faces and down our throats, more of us viewers would like to actually see more shows with REAL actors. They actually took acting classes and have struggled to make it to the top as opposed to someone, who has over 1 million likes from social media followers.

I know the times have changed, but everyone doesn't care about self-entitled attention whores wanting to become social media famous because they got pregnant at 16 and have sex tapes.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I would rather see more shows that aren't reality shows. The networks wouldn't be shoving them down our throats if they weren't getting a lot of viewers though. I can't really blame the people in reality series for doing something that is working for them even if I don't personally like it.

There is some truth when it comes to viewer ratings. However, viewer ratings can be rigged just like votes for award shows. The media is forcing everyone to believe that everyone wants to watch Reality TV Shows on every local, cable, and satellite network, when it is quite the opposite.

I think some of it could be blamed on that. The media is beyond corrupt. However, I know that at least some of the reality TV shows are actually popular. Some examples would be The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Shark Tank, Dancing with the Stars, and all of those singing shows like American Idol and The Voice. I know plenty of people who watch those programs regularly and they all have a pretty dedicated fanbase. Of course, those could just be the exceptions rather than the rule.

I don't bother watching any of those shows. They are the perfect examples of the most overrated Reality TV Shows, that should be eliminated from local networks. Most American viewers today watch more shows online because they want to watch shows with actors and plots to them.
