JARRETT TO MAKE MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT ON APRIL 7

- Jeff Jarrett has chosen the date of April 7, the day after WrestleMania XXX, to make a major announcement, revealing what he and his wife Karen have been working on since he quit TNA. Jarrett resigned from his post as Vice President of TNA Wrestling on December 23, 2013, catching everyone in the wrestling world by surprise considering he was the co-founder of the company. In his latest video, Jarrett said that he and his wife are excited as the next wrestling fan and they are humbled by the support and excitement shown by fans. “Monday, April 7 is going to be our first major announcement and I’m very, very excited,” Jarrett said, with Karen adding that they will soon be able to scream and yell to the world what they have been working on.

New promotion I guess, he would need a lot of cash to make it big though and what talent could he even get which isn't locked in contracts with WWE, TNA or ROH? It was much easier in 2002.

I don't really see why anyone would buy TNA. It's not worth a penny, it's dying and it's packed full of horrible contracts and commitments. Let it die, sign up the guys you actually want, and talk to Spike about that free T.V. slot. Jay's right though, being the fourth man, and moving up, won't be easier. It would be better for whoever's coming next to just wait TNA out, because there's no way they're still around in, what, two years maximum?

Some info on this:

Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling announced the following today:
Global Force Wrestling set for first 'official' talent search

Search/seminar to be held in Ontario, Canada

NASHVILLE – Global Force Wrestling will hit the road for its first official talent search and seminar, which will take place on June 1 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

GFW CEO and founder Jeff Jarrett knows well the great tradition of pro wrestling in Canada and the number of top stars the country has produced. He and Owen Hart of the legendary Hart Family were WWE tag team champions, and several Canadian stars made names for themselves while in Jarrett's TNA promotion.

The seminar also will reunite Jarrett with renowned pro wrestling trainer Scott D'Amore, who will help conduct the event at the North American Sports and Hobby Expo inside the WFCU Centre. D'Amore brought Team Canada to TNA, and he also trained such current indie wrestling superstars as Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Petey Williams, Rhino and Tyson Dux.

"Professional wrestling is part of the DNA of Canada," Jarrett said. "It felt like a natural not only to have our first official talent search there but to have it under the tutelage of Scott D'Amore, a longtime friend and as knowledgeable as anyone when it comes to discovering and fostering talent.

"Coupled with our partnership with Mexico's AAA promotion, this is another key step in establishing the reach of Global Force Wrestling."

Jarrett and D'Amore will evaluate the wrestlers in attendance as they engage in brief matches and cut promos.

"It's an honor to have Global Force Wrestling bring its first talent search to my hometown," D'Amore said. "Jeff Jarrett is a third-generation promoter, and he knows what he wants. He's going to have high expectations. I know he will be relentless in his pursuit in finding the best undiscovered talent in the world."

Wrestlers interested in attending the seminar should check globalforcewrestling.com/seminar for complete details.

From the Wrestling-Online Newsletter:

ERIC BISCHOFF TO WORK WITH GLOBAL FORCE WRESTLING

- W-O reader Liam Johnson attended the Preston City Wrestling Q&A show with former WCW President Eric Bischoff and GFW’s Jeff Jarrett on Friday night in Preston, England. Karen Jarrett, the wife of Jeff Jarrett, was in the audience and asked a question herself, wondering if Eric Bischoff would be working for Global Force Wrestling at any point. Both Jarrett and Bischoff said yes and planning was in the early stages but the former WCW executive will be working for Global Force Wrestling in some capacity.
