The longest reigning WWE Champion in SmackDown history John "Bradshaw" Layfield announced on Friday that he will no longer be doing color commentary for SmackDown LIVE so that he can focus on his charity work with the Beyond Sport organization.

I'm probably one of the few people who's bummed about this. Whether you like JBL or not, he was the best color commentator that WWE has had in recent years. Plus, I shudder to think who they're going to replace him with; Jerry Lawler? David Otunga? God, I hope not.

When I read this online yesterday my first thought was they will use Shane.

Renee Young would be a nice change of pace. There's no way Shane will be on commentary since Shane isn't there every week. I'm guessing either Otunga or Lawler because it's WWE and they love to disappoint us.

It might be Otunga. It won't be Lawler he has said he no longer wants a full time schedule.

It's been announced Corey Graves will be doing both Raw and Smackdown. Nigel McGuiness will replace him on 205 Live and Main Event.

Yeah just saw that on the news sites this morning. Probably the best choice they could have made. One of their better colour commentators.
