For those of you old enough, do you remember Deep Blue? It was the computer program that beat the worlds best chess player. That was 22 years ago. Computer programs like that have morphed into what we now call Artificial intelligence.

If you look at the progression of technology in the gaming field alone, what do you think we can look forward to 22 years from today?

All I remember about Deep Blue is that it was a computer developed by IBM, eventually becoming the first chess-playing system to beat a reigning world champion. Considering how fast technology evolves nowadays, what is going to unfold in a decade's time is unimaginable so it might be overambitious to try and imagine the evolution we will experience two decades from now.

Kasparov was the respected chess grand master and Deep Blue got distinguished as the first machine to ever beat a world champion under regular time controls.

In a way, this led to the evolution of AI, as we know it now. There will definitely be greater advancements in the and not-so-distant future.
